Modern Dispensary
Our beautiful Frame Gallery features over 1100 of the latest fashion frames including Maui Jim, Toms, Prada, BMW, Rayban, LAMB, Easy Clip, Volte Face and Alain Mikli, and many more! We are proud to use a local lab, with excellent quality lenses. Our well-trained and experienced dispensers are passionate about finding the right fit, look, and vision for every individual.
Local Art Display
To celebrate sight, we are excited to display the visual designs of local artists in our Eye Gallery. We are always looking to connect with local artists to display creations throughout The Eye Gallery.
Free Parking
The Eye Gallery has multiple FREE parking stalls located on the west side of the building (back of the building). Parking stalls are easily recognizable with The Eye Gallery signs posted to the corresponding parking stalls.
Convenient Hours
The Eye Gallery will always do their best to accommodate the busy schedules of patients. Wednesday and Thursday hours are extended for convenience as well as being open on Saturdays.

MEET THE DOCTORS OF OPTOMETRY & STAFF
DR. CARLA MATZ
Dr. Carla Matz grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan. She became interested in optometry at a very early age. Setting her professional goal as vision care, she attended the University of Regina and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1991. She then attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis and graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry with honours in 1995.
DR. KATHRYN COBEN
Dr. Kathryn Coben was born and raised in Saskatoon, including attending the University of Saskatchewan for her undergraduate years in microbiology. She received her Doctor of Optometry training from the University of Waterloo, graduating from there with an honours degree in 2008. She has done ocular disease training in different areas of Canada, as well as a rotation working alongside ocular surgeons in Alabama. ​

Practising with the Eye Gallery since her graduation, she is committed to providing full service of care to all her patients, but is passionate about the prevention and treatment of ocular disease. She has worked on special projects for the Canadian Examiners in Optometry, and takes a special interest in attending education around the world to get the widest exposure to advances in the profession. ​
​
In her spare time, Dr. Coben likes to travel, liking to say that every country in the world is on her 'bucket list'. She is also an avid sports fan, with undying loyalty to the Roughriders and Toronto Blue Jays.
DR. DEAN WENINGER
Dean Weninger was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan where he attended the University of Regina pursuing an honours in biochemistry. He was then accepted to the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry and Vision Science, where he completed his optometric training.

While attending Waterloo Dr. Weninger helped develop UW-VOSH, a volunteer optometric organization which helps individuals in other countries that do not have access to routine optometric care. He spent three weeks travelling in Morocco, doing eye exams and vision screening on hundreds of school children.

Dr. Weninger enjoys many aspects of family practice including laser vision consultation, contact lens fitting, treatment of ocular emergencies, and takes special interest in paediatrics and working with children.
DR. DENNIS BRAUN
Born in Humboldt, Dr. Dennis Braun graduated with his optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 1985. Including working with private practices in Saskatoon, Tisdale, and Abbotsford, British Columbia, he has a history as the staff optometrist of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Saskatchewan, and the optometric director of the Gimbel Eye Centre formerly in Saskatoon.

He has been with Grosvenor Park Optometry/The Eye Gallery since 2002, and also practises in North Battleford at his clinic there.
​
Dennis enjoys spending time with his wife Lori and their three daughters. He is also an avid golfer, in the most enthusiastic sense of the word.
TRACEY
Tracey has been a dedicated part of The Eye Gallery team for 12 years as a CCOA-certified dispenser. She has a true passion for helping both new and returning patients discover the perfect pair of glasses —ensuring each browsing experience is personalized to match style, comfort, and vision needs.
When she’s not at work, you can find her enjoying family time, shopping, or traveling to sunny destinations.
MIKE
Mike has been immersed in the optical world since he was just 16, following in the footsteps of his optician mom. He has been part of The Eye Gallery family for over 13 years and is our go-to expert for all things eyewear! As our head glasses dispenser, he has a knack for repairs (he can fix almost anything!) and always ensures every patient gets the best fit and function from their glasses.
Beyond optics, Mike is a true artist—he is the creative mind behind all of our decor! When he’s not at work, you’ll find him painting or spending time with his pup, Scout.
TAYLOR
Taylor has been part of The Eye Gallery team since September 2019—over 5 years of bringing smiles, skills, and seasonal window magic to our clinic!
As a Certified Canadian Optometric Assistant (CCOA), Taylor specializes in contact lenses and pretesting. Her favourite part of the job? Meeting all the different people and creating a positive experience for every patient she meets.
Outside the clinic, Taylor is a true hobbyist—she has built over 60 LEGO sets and enjoys crocheting and cross-stitching in her downtime.
JODIE
Jodie brings 15 years of optical experience to The Eye Gallery—10 of them with us! As our office manager and CCOA, she specializes in pretesting but also works in our dispensary from time to time, making her a versatile expert in all things optical.
Her favorite part of the job? Helping patients and meeting new people every day. Outside of work, Jodie loves spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors—especially when she’s out hunting.
HANNA
Since joining us in November 2022, Hanna has grown into a key part of our team—helping with everything from pre-testing to frame dispensing, and even creating all the content you see on our social media!
She is currently taking the CCOA course, and she’s been loving the chance to keep learning in such a dynamic, diverse environment. She says the best part of the job is learning something new everyday!
When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her thrifting, walking, or cooking up something delicious.
MICHELLE
Michelle joined our team in September 2023 and works in pretesting/reception! She loves that every day brings something new and enjoys chatting with patients and getting to know them.
When she’s not at the clinic, Michelle is busy with her family and two cats — she loves camping, road trips, and jamming out to all kinds of music.
KALYNN
Kalynn has been in the optical world since 2021, joining The Eye Gallery in January of 2024. She has been working as both a dispenser and pre-tester while she studies to become a licensed optician!
Her favourite part of the job? Bringing glasses back to life with repair, teaching others, and spending time with her awesome coworkers!
Outside the clinic, Kalynn is a proud fiancée, cat mom to two, and a true homebody who loves baking and reading.
MEGAN
Megan joined us in November 2023 and is one of the friendly faces you’ll see at reception and during pretesting. She is also currently working hard on the CCOA course to deepen her knowledge in optometric care! She has been loving the opportunity to interact with different people every day and learning something new!
When Megan’s not at the clinic, you can find her hanging out with her kids, cruising in her classic truck, or at her hip hop class.
